Rex Cravat was a very good and kind friend of mine who I will and do truly miss. His life ended on September 11 around 3am but his name, memory and great works of glass will live on forever for those of us who had the privilege of knowing what a true friend Rex Cravat was to all. RIP

I hit this site accidently whilst browsing! It's interesting and informative. I'm into stained-glass work making panels and lamps but my favourite is restoration.

Glass artist Rex Cravat died on September 12th, 2001. Rex was one of the most universally loved and respected people I've ever known. He was a kind, gentle, generous, honest and loving man. He was an artist, a musician and, most of all, a loyal and loving friend. He was a very gifted and good man. I hope to hear from anyone and everyone who loved him.

Good site! I've plucked up the courage to acquire a kiln for fusing/slumping. Any hints? ideas? Already had classes and produced some dishes. What would be a good first kiln- I like large dishes, but nothing with much height.
